Analysis:

This trailer also uses not much narrative and explores the genre more widely, giving a sense of what the film is like, through the orchestral stabs and ebb and flow in dynamics adding suspense and tension to the scene. This combined with frequent almost rhythmic sound effects of the swords or the footsteps adds an eeriness and sense of mystery to the trailer. The main notion of mystery created here is through the lack of the introduction of characters as the man walking around is always in shots that do not reveal his face. This creates suspense, mystery and curiosity which helps to attract audiences. The movement of the camera as it follows this character, creates tension and maintains a building pace. The contrast from the long establishing shots of the walking feet or the long shots of the fighting to the more close and intimate nature of the close ups adds tension and a sense of danger and threat, this combined with the whispering tone of the actors, draws the audience in and builds the tension for a scary moment. The establishing shot, whilst helping to create a sense of location and grounding only leads o the cleverly animated reveals of the logo
