Analysis:
this trailer has a balanced mix of narrative and genre, conveyed mainly through the diegetic dialogue but also through the brighter upbeat music that accompanies the shots. The colouration is bright with a lighter saturation, showing the clear rom com genre. This genre is also hinted at through the many intimate scenes such as the shot of the extreme close up of the lips in the final shot. This adds intimacy and mystery to who the lips belong to and also draws the audience in through curiosity, by providing a notion of mystery. The frequent use of different proxemics such as placing 'Alice' in front of the changing man, facing the screen adds comedy whilst the over the shoulder shots not only add comedy but they increase the intimacy, making the audience feel as though they are part of the scene. There are no key narrative points made and this is clearly displayed through the frequently irregular shot durations combined with the layered dialogue and non diegetic sound.
