Teaser 4 - 'Wonder Woman'

Trailer:

Key Shots:

  • close up slow motion of movement of bullet
  • low angle allow shot as she rises
  • long shot when she ricochets the attack
  • low angle long shots, slow motion of walking and her movement
  • close ups in action

Analysis:

This teaser is very fast paced as all the shots contain fast movement or a fast movement in slow motion. The use of slow motion provides curiosity as the viewer is intrigued but the varying shot durations and is also unexpected and unpredicted placement of the slow motion editing. The shorter shot duration combined with the frequent shot changes adds mystery and chaos to the viewers emotions. The various non naturalistic shots of the mid air shots also creates mystery and wonder towards the narrative. This trailer clearly states the genre of the film and much less of the narrative. The frequent close ups provides intimacy and empathy towards the characters again reinforcing the curiosity of the audience in the narrative, exploiting their nature to be sympathetic towards the characters.
