Hold the Line - Music Video (practice editing)
This is a music video I created over the summer, to help develop my editing skills.
This was feedback from my teacher:
You understand the codes and conventions of a music video and chose relevant shot types and editing sequences to undertake it. I particularly liked the use of quartered/split screen and block colour. Your used of found footage was well selected but it would have been preferable for you to have created this yourself.
I think there was room in post-production for a more stylised approach perhaps picking up on the colour palette throughout more distinctly. How would you have done this?
Even artistic music videos have an implied narrative usually. How could you have built this in?
