Teaser 7 - 'Love, Rosie'

Trailer:

Key Shots:

  • mirror camera angle shot
  • frequent close ups to show emotions of characters
  • handheld shot reverse shot
  • long shots - running
  • birds eye view on the

Analysis:

This clip uses the frequent shot changes coupled with the music to create mystery and suspense in what the film is portraying. The notion of genre is very clear here however the narrative is more unclear and therefore intrigues the audiences. The music is bright and used specifically in moments of comedy as it cuts out at the point of comedy dialogue. There is no voiceover and therefore conforms to the conventions of the teaser trailer. The colouration is bright and links well with the happier bright music. The handheld camera at moments does make the trailer more intimate and helps the audience to connect with the characters. The close ups also achieves this. the layered dialogue helps to connect the scenes and make the trailer more interesting.
